My Background

What makes Christine Mayfield Art so Sacred....

What makes Christine Mayfield Art so Sacred....

I’ve always been the type of person who pushes back against the status quo.  I didn’t always conform to society’s rules or concepts.  I made my own. Although that made me different, it also made me who I am. My unique and authentic outlook of art and design made me realize that expectations were meant to be broken. It fascinates me that I can create something from the unknown and bring it into reality. Into a world where the art I design has value and worth. Being creative is one of my greatest gifts. It is quite lovely to be able to share it with the world.

Does it truly matter where Christine Mayfield  studied, how she got started, if she studied at all, or if she was simply gifted with insight to the creative world of Art and Design. Is it possible to be drawn to the mystical art of using ones own imagination from the unseen world of her Own mind and bringing them to this world. What would shed more light on what type of impact her art will have on a viewer?   Reviews and critics are just words, hollow letters on a lonely page. Art is an intimate exchange between, you the viewer, and Christine the artist, offering her imagination to yours. How the viewer experiences Christine Mayfields Art is what is "Sacred." Share your reaction of your experience of her Art with her, for it’s will only be the emotion that is drawn from you that will be felt and the foot print it leaves behind in the viewers soul that will reflect the true grace of the unspoken words left behind in the viewer that takes front and center stage after indulging in the creation that was once not seen before, but is now here for the world to explore and enjoy.

My Inspiration

My Inspiration

I was inspired to dive into the world of Art and Design after talking to my father at the kitchen table. I noticed he was doodling on a yellow post it pad. It appeared to be a drawing, but my Dad doesn’t draw, I thought to myself...  I became more curious to see what it was he was scribbling on this tiny little post it pad. I walked over to see what this unusual doodle contained, and much to my surprise, a perfect drawing of a mans face. In the art and design world it is known how hard it is to align a face correctly. Creating a face to look realistic is very tricky.  Not an easy task.  Yet while we sat and talked, he was able to draw a human face like a pro.  How did he do that, I though. I’ve never seen my Dad draw before, let alone drawn something incredible which appeared professional, and on a tiny post it pad. I said, I never knew you could draw. Why haven't you ever told anyone. I could not believe all these years had gone by and I hadn‘t had a clue to his hidden talent. Some years later after he had died, I thought about that moment and wondered if I had any of that artist ability in me. He was my father , it was possible I could be a artist to , but I had not explored that

perspective of myself yet. So I tried....  And like magic, I was painting , drawning , doing digital art , creating my own Art and Design. It was exciting. I absolutely loved bringing my imagination to the canvas. The majority of the time I had no idea what I was drawning until I got started and it would take on a direction of its own. As if something took over and I was watching these colors come together to make an amazing piece of art. If it wasn’t for that 20 minutes I spent with my Dad, I don’t think I ever would have started creating Art and Design the way I do today. I thank my Dad for that special gift he gave me that day !!
